"At IPC, I enjoyed
the opportunity to make friends and contacts in other countries. I also liked the small
classes and interesting lectures. It was easy to speak to your lecturers or ask for help.
The Bachelor of International Studies that IPC offers was only offered at honour's or
master's degree levels at other New Zealand universities. The lecturers and staff had
expertise in the area of my interest, the Asia-Pacific regions. Now I am a TAPCIT (Thai-Australian Project in Information Technology) co-ordinator and working in Thailand. I use most of the business skills I learnt at IPC, like management, marketing and accounting. My job is all related to what 1 learnt at IPC."

¡@ "Having a degree at IPC Stood me in good stead in finding employment with the New Zealand Dairy Board, an internationally forward thinking company. Because I have studied on an international campus with a lot of different cultures around me, I have developed an enquiring mind and can think outside the square. If you come to IPC there will be lots of challenges awaiting you. You are going to meet a lot of people from different countries, have a chance to experience a little bit of their culture, learn about people and be better prepared to move out into the workforce."

"Life at IPC was
different. Classes were great as they were small. I studied a lot of Asian topics and,
because we had many students from other countries, we could discuss amongst ourselves the
different situations in different countries. It was wonderful having so many international
students, so many friends. I keep in touch with them now and visit them and they visit me
here. Living on campus meant that I had so much more to do with other students. I really
enjoyed that. Now I am working for the Japan information Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan. What really helped in my career was my better understanding of the Japanese way of doing things and the language skills I developed by living and interacting with other Japanese speaking students. It is a wonderful opportunity; just so many experiences to be had at IPC and so many friends to be made. It's a great learning environment and lots of fun - make the most of it!"
