Whitireia Community Polytechnic
Whitireia Community Polytechnic is a government-funded tertiary institution. Established in 1986, it is known for producing work-ready graduates who have found employment both in New Zealand and overseas.
Whitireia is home to about 3,500 students. 120 are international students from different parts of the world.
Whitireia offers NZQA accredited degree, diploma and certificate programmes of study. All programmes emphasise practical application to work situations. Consultation with the industry, professional groups and the community ensure that teaching content is relevant, up-to-date and practical.
All programmes of study are taught by qualified tutors committed to meeting your learning needs. Tutors are experienced in dealing with students from a wide range of ethnnic backgrounds.
Many programmes provide the foundation for further studies in other tertiary institutions in New Zealand. Business studies, students can spend their first two years at Whitireia before proceeding to some local universities to complete their degree qualifications.
